The Birth of Our Special Needs Foal

Family Orchards was recently blessed to welcome a new member of the Nut Farm family — a beautiful new baby foal — a boy. Having the first foal at the farm has been a life-long dream for everyone. Born on 4/20/20 at 84 pounds...he was found by Aaron around 7 am, having been born in the field near Aaron's garden.

Aaron rushed to wake Todd and Ruby on a beautiful Spring morning — knowing that something wasn't quite right with the little guy. You see, he couldn't stand or even keep himself from falling over. His eye was swollen from some sort of head trauma — and his momma Annabelle was showing obvious signs of stress.

When Todd and Ruby joined Aaron by momma's side, they spent about 45 minutes evaluating the situation and attempting to help him stand. That's when they knew that medical intervention would be necessary.

These are the three "prologue" videos before we began our first "real-farm-life" documentary two-part cliffhanger.
